About EasyPaisa
EasyPaisa is Pakistan's oldest branchless banking service, launched in 2009 by Telenor Pakistan and Tameer Microfinance Bank (now Telenor Microfinance Bank). It runs two distinct things under one brand: a mobile wallet app used by app holders, and a network of 75,000+ retail shops where you can send money over the counter without an account. Wallet users dial 3737 free from any Telenor SIM; agents and bank-account holders use the longer UAN 021-111-003-737. Most call-centre wait times sit around 60-90 seconds during day hours and jump to 4-6 minutes on the 1st and last day of the month when salaries and bills pile up. EasyPaisa staff will never ask for your 5-digit MPIN, your OTP, your full debit card number or the CVV on a call. Block your wallet through the app first (Profile > Help > Block Account) before phoning, so a fraud cannot use the few minutes you spend on hold.
Complaint escalation ladder
- Level 1: Call the official helpline (3737) and note the complaint number.
- Level 2: If unresolved in 48 hours, email customer.care@easypaisa.com.pk with the complaint number.
- Level 3: Ask for a regional manager or branch manager via the same email thread.
- Level 4: Escalate to the regulator — SBP Banking Mohtasib.
⚠ Safety advisory
EasyPaisa ka koi bhi staff aapse OTP, CNIC PIN, full debit card number ya internet banking password phone par nahi maangta. Aisa call aaye to turant disconnect karein. Refund release karne ke liye “processing fee” maangne wala har banda scammer hai. Sirf official helpline (3737) aur is page par diye gaye email/website per rabta karein. Suspicious numbers ko 1991 (FIA Cyber Crime) ya PTA ke complaint portal par report karein.
