Why total days and years-months-days disagree
A gap of exactly 365 days is one year only in a non-leap span. Because the Gregorian year averages 365.2425 days, converting a large day count into a decimal year and reading off the whole part will drift from the calendar answer by up to a day per four years. Always use the calendar method for legal age.
