Why does my making-charge cost reduce my real ROI?

Making charges (typically 8–18%) are never recovered on resale — jewellers buy back by pure gold weight only. The calculator includes them in your cost basis to show your true return, not a marketing-friendly inflated number.

Does it use Pakistan or India spot price?

It uses the international XAU/USD spot converted with the relevant FX rate (PKR or INR) for both the buy date and today. This is the most apples-to-apples way to measure pure gold return without local premium noise.

Can I model selling at a future date?

The base calculator shows return up to today. To project forward, use a conservative 6–8% annual gold appreciation (long-term USD CAGR since 1970) and apply your local FX outlook on top.
